First you need a printer that is fully functional, has a high print resolution, easy to install drivers, and is compatible with your operating system. Prefer a printer that has a USB, Bluetooth or WiFi link. If you need to print plain text and simple graphics or shipping labels, choose a 203 DPI printer. If you need to print more complex barcodes and sophisticated graphics, a 300 DPI printer is recommended.

Edit Label Information

Find the editing software for thermal printers, choose the size of the sticky note, enter your text, adjust the font size, to its way, etc. If there is a barcode or QR code, you need to choose the barcode type (such as Code 128, QR Code, etc.), and enter the data to be encoded. Finally adjust the layout to make sure the content fits the label size.

First, determine the specific use of the label, such as product packaging, logistics labels or merchandise labels. Next, consider the type of surface the label needs to adhere to, such as paper, plastic or glass, to ensure that the label can be firmly affixed. Finally, look at the length of time the label will be used and the environment, if it is an outdoor environment then you need to choose a material with weather resistance and water resistance to ensure that it can be used for a long time.

Adjusting thermal printer settings

Place the thermal printer on a smooth workbench, making sure there is enough space around the printer for operation and maintenance. Then connect the thermal printer to your laptop using the USB cable

Installing the print driver

According to the printer prompts to install the corresponding driver (usually provided within the printer), after the installation is complete, you can select the printer on the device and print test to ensure that the connection is normal.

Setting up print labels

Open the paper bin of the printer, pay attention to the front and back of the paper and the printing direction, make sure that the thermal labels are correctly placed to avoid paper jams or misplaced printing, and finally close the paper bin cover.

Print Preview

After all operations are completed, it is recommended to perform a test print to check the printing results. After making sure that everything is okay, it is time to print our labels.
